I’ve been having back issues for a few weeks now. But I gave in to my stubbornness and went to a chiropractor. After one treatment it seems I am on the mend. Another appointment Thursday so hopefully I will be back in action for work this weekend.
A shout out to the Manhattan guys that stopped by the Lodge Sunday, sorry I didn’t get a chance to say thank you and goodbye. I was probably in the back room whining like a little sally.
As you know, people have been known to haveunexpected brushes with the authorities from time to time, often on the wayhome after a “social session” with family or friends. Well, this year, ithappened to me. I was out for the evening to a party and had more thanseveral margaritas coupled with a bottle of rather nice red wine. It washeld at a great Mexican restaurant. Although relaxed, I still had the commonsense to know I was slightly over the limit. That’s when I did somethingI’ve never done before…I took a taxi home. On the way home there was apolice roadblock, but since it was a taxi they waved it past and I arrivedhome safely without incident. These roadblocks can be anywhere and Irealized how lucky I was to have chosen to take a taxi. The realsurprise to me was I had never driven a taxi before. I don’t know whereI got it, and now that it’s in my garage I don’t know what to do with it.If you want to borrow it, give me a call.
