New Year’s Eve

Trail Conditions: Some problem areas but a lot of Good.

Weather: 1-4 today, below freezing for highs.

I have openings in all the rentals, check out the calendars.

In general riders have been reporting pretty good conditions, we have problem areas like 4 miles west of the hoop on trail 8, 11S into Wisconsin I heard is closed. We still are lacking a normal amount of snow for this time of year but even with heavy traffic it seems the trails are in better shape than they should be. I think the groomers deserve a lot of credit for working with the conditions we have. The wet snows we received followed by the cold weather are creating a good base and the light snows are giving us a little here and there. Snow is in the forecast, nothing big at the moment but as long as we get a little every day or two the base will keep building and trails keep getting refreshed.

The other day three guys came into the Lodge, Tool, Super and Zippy. I know this sounds like the start of a joke. I told them I would post something the next day but when I started writing about the Lady that got killed it kind of took away the mood.

Three men, Tool, Super and Zippy walk into a bar. The barman tells them, “If you can sit in my basement for a day, I’ll give you free beer forever.” Tool walks out after five minutes and says, “It’s impossible, you got a swarm of flies in there.” So Super tries his luck, but can’t take more than an hour. Finally, Zippy goes down. When he returns a day later, the others ask him how he did it. Zippy says, “Easy! I took a dump in one corner and sat in the other corner!”
